Anybody who has watched the tour on TV has seen the vision of the tour racing along a road which seems to be stuck precariously onto the side of a mountain. It turns out that that road links the Col d' Soulor and the Aubisque. We rode that today and it was sensational.
It was a perfect day in the Pyrenees - blue skies, warm sun and beautiful surroundings. It was not a super tough climb today but the scenery was sensational.
It was absolutely beautiful, and at the top we got to see this ....
A fast smooth descent towards the bottom for a total ride time of a very leisurely 4:30 for 88 km and only 1565m of vertical climbing.
A day I'll never forget.

The photos are amazing - what a wonderful day. But what happened to the Hautacam? Too much to fit in? Never mind - it sounds as if you are getting all that you hoped for!
Love the photos, keep them comming. We've been watching out for some crazie auzzie antics on the mountain stages coverage.

Wow, fantastic views - enjoy your experience of a lifetime.

What a ride and how awesome to be sharing your adventure! My 20kms of uphill climbs & fast descents in & out of the saddle in p/t session today seems very ordinary! You get to be extraordinary ...
We are huge fans. Go DC!
